We offer a range of extra-curricular music opportunities for students.
Choirs
All students in Years Prep - 6 are welcome to participate in one of our three choirs (Junior, Intermediate and Senior). Auditions are held at the beginning of the school year. Throughout the year, students have the opportunity to perform at lunchtime concerts and school assemblies as well as compete in local eisteddfods and competitions.
Instrumental Music Program
The instrumental music program is an extra-curricular program available to students in Years 4, 5 and 6. Students have the opportunity to learn a woodwind, brass, percussion or string instrument under the guidance of specialist instrumental music teachers. Small group lessons are timetabled throughout the school day. All students in the instrumental music program join an ensemble and perform in school concerts and at local eisteddfods and competitions throughout the year.
Percussion Ensemble
Open to all students in Year 6, the Percussion Ensemble allows students the opportunity to learn basic percussion technique and become confident in reading and performing ensemble music, regardless of their skill level. Rehearsals occur weekly and students have the opportunity to perform at school concerts and in local competitions.
