Our Year 4 students participate in two, long day excursions throughout the year, providing hands-on learning experiences linking to the Australian Curriculum and preparing them for overnight camps in Years 5 and 6.
St Helena Island
In Term 3, our Year 4 students travel by bus and ferry to St Helena Island to complement and enhance their learning about early convict life in Australia.
Students engage in a dramatised tour of the island, with actor-tour guides using role play and drama to bring to life St Helena Island, from the Aboriginal beginnings to the nineteenth-century prison settlement.
Emu Gully Adventure Education Centre
