Our Highfields State School motto is Flying high with learning.
Located in the growing suburb of Highfields, around 15 minutes north of Toowoomba, Highfields State School is set on the edge of the Great Dividing Range. For over 150 years we have been teaching the students of Highfields and surrounding suburbs.
Our team of dedicated and experienced teachers and support staff strive to ensure all students are learning, achieving and thriving. At Highfields State School, we embrace diversity and inclusivity. We use the Positive Behaviour for Learning philosophy to reward students for following our school-wide behaviour expectations of Be Safe, Be Respectful and Be a Learner.
We have a large, leafy campus, including multiple ovals, adventure playgrounds, and multi-purpose courts; assembly and sports hall, specialist music, Japanese and technology rooms; a spacious library and air-conditioned classrooms to ensure students have optimal conditions for learning.
