The Highfields State School Library is a spacious, designed for purpose building, situated in the middle of the school campus. All students are afforded time for browsing, research and borrowing.
The Library is open to all students Monday – Thursday from 8.30am and during both lunch breaks. Students access the space to pursue their interests, read, meet with friends, play games, create, build and design. Students also have access to one of the school's two Computer Laboratories, during their break times.
Throughout the year, the Library team offer a variety of activities. We celebrate and commemorate important cultural events, enjoy National Simultaneous Story Time and always have a fantastic, celebratory Book Week Parade.
The Library is an inclusive, vibrant, student - centred space, where all members of the HSS community are welcomed.
