Our community

At Highfields State School there is a total commitment to ensuring the very best for every student, every day and this philosophy is underpinned by a strong value of ‘partnership’ between staff, parents and the wider community. Parents and community volunteers with a blue card are actively encouraged to volunteer for various work across this extensive campus.

Areas in which you may be able to contribute include:

  • Helping with our decision-making by attending our monthly P&C general
  • Helping teachers in classrooms
  • Serving in the tuckshop or uniform shop
  • Helping with fundraising activities
  • Nominating for an office-bearer's position on the P&C

Please email the P&C at if you are willing to help. Please note that a blue card (working with children check) is required if you are not a parent of a child currently attending the school.

A complete volunteer information pack is available on request by contacting the P&C at or PO Box 51, Highfields 4352.
