Year 7 Camp 2014

2014 Year Seven Trip to Sydney and Canberra
Highfields Year 7 students have safely returned from their trip of Sydney and Canberra. During the week away students learnt invaluable life lessons such as independence, respectful social interactions, problem solving, following directions, teamwork, organisation and self-awareness.
Participation in a wide variety of visits and educational programs has enabled students to better understand Australia’s history, culture, heritage and democracy. We would like to thank the Australian Government for their support through the Parliament and Civics Education Rebate (PACER) Program by providing a travel subsidy for our students to visit our national institutions. This contribution will be paid directly to the school and has already been factored into the cost of the trip.
The trip was also made possible as a result of thorough preparation, incredible collective experience and immense personal and professional commitment of the teachers who attended - Mr Peter Thornton, Mrs Angie Cooper, Mrs Julie Keating and our chaplain Mr Bell.
