21/10/2014
Under 8’s Day
This year we celebrated Under 8’s Day with the theme “Everyone Can Play”        A fabulous day was had by all! The weather was ideal and the enthusiasm of the students was contagious. The students participated in activities that ranged from play dough, face painting, flour and sand troughs, fabric dolls, rockets, people stick puppets, kite making, book marks, Gelli Gaf and light boxes to threading, novelty sports, chalk drawing, sensory trail, paper bag puppets and dance. A sincere thank you to all involved for making this a fabulous day with a  special thank you to the Senior Constable Swan, the students loved the opportunity to inspect the police car; and to the parent helpers, without your help this day would not have run as smoothly.  The final word goes to the students…
Reese (Prep) “I liked the face painting because the face painting is fun.”
Matilda (Prep) “My favourite thing was the sensory trail because I liked the feel of the green slime.”
Jenny ( Year One) “I really liked Under 8”s day because of the flour tray. It was really soft.”
Sam (Year One) “I really liked Under 8”s day because I did the Gelli Gaff and it was gooey and it was yucky and felt like snail poo.”
