National Simultaneous Story Time

On Wednesday 23rd May our school participated in National Simultaneous Storytime. It was wonderful to see so many students in our smART Space. Mr Pollock read Hickory Dickory Dash written by Tony Wilson and illustrated by Laura Wood. Students followed the story which was projected onto the big screen.

Congratulations to our Find a Word competition winners and also to those who won Lucky Door prizes.

National Simultaneous Storytime is an annual campaign that aims to encourage more young Australians to read and enjoy books. It is a colourful, vibrant, fun event that aims to promote the value of reading and literacy, using an Australian children's book that explores age-appropriate themes, and addresses key learning areas of the National Curriculum for Foundation to Year 6.

Every year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, pre-schools, childcare centres, family homes, bookshops and many other places around the country.
