GRIP Student Leadership Conference Reflection

15/04/2016
Last term in Week 8, all 20 Senior Student Captains attended the GRIP Leadership conference at the Cultural Centre in Highfields. On the day we learnt about how to make our school a better place by being an effective leader. We had lots of fun and played games that taught us teamwork and the value of contribution. Although we had to work hard too and tune into the brilliant strategies such as the ‘Leadership Tree’ and the ‘Traffic Light’ system. These two focused on the core values of a school and aimed at developing ideas to improve the feeling of belonging and respect. We got inspiration from the enthusiastic hosts and have brought back ideas to our school to help it grow…with the help of all 2016 Senior Student Leaders in Year 6.
